Evidence and safety

Never edit source hives. Keep user SID, control-set, and transaction-log context attached. Record the input identifier, tool version, relevant commands or settings, time and time zone, output location, and any errors or limitations as you work.

Accessing Registry Explorer in SUSA

Registry Explorer is part of EZ Tools, used to view and analyse Windows Registry hives offline.

Work from copied hives and retain their associated transaction logs when available. Note which hive, control set, user profile and time zone you are examining, and corroborate Registry values with file-system and event evidence rather than interpreting a key in isolation.

The tool is available in C:\Tools\Zimmerman Tools\net9\RegistryExplorer.
