Install and Open Magnet DumpIt for Windows¶

Request the authorised package¶

Navigate to the Magnet DumpIt for Windows download page and register the requested details. Use the link delivered to the registered email address to retrieve the package.

Verify and stage the toolkit¶

Record the archive filename, vendor source, version and SHA-256 according to local procedure. Extract the package to:

C:\Tools\Magnet Toolkit

Preserve the architecture-specific folders. On a 64-bit Windows source, the preserved SUSA workflow uses C:\Tools\Magnet Toolkit\x64\DumpIt.exe. Confirm the endpoint architecture before execution rather than choosing by filename alone.

Do not test acquisition during installation

Running DumpIt begins a live-memory acquisition workflow and changes the endpoint. Finish the authority, destination and capacity plan before launching the executable as administrator.

Record readiness¶

Before continuing, retain the exact executable path, architecture, version, vendor source and pre-execution SHA-256. Confirm administrator access is authorised and a separate controlled evidence volume has free space greater than installed RAM.
